With the emphasis on mountain bike riding skills with "MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION" the "Down South MTB Festival Bike Skills Clinics" teaches participants the skills they will need, to ride the new mountain bike trails around the Dunsborough MTB Bike Skills Development Park.
WOMENS ONLY CLINIC
This clinic is a skills based ride for 'Women Only' around the trails of the Dunsborough MTB Skills Development Park. The clinic is designed to improve riding skills and techniques, while increasing confidence to tackle new challenges.

Saturday 1st August 2015  | Clinic Start: 2:00pm  | Clinic Finish: 4:00pm

About the Clinic
Riders will stop at different trail features along the way to outline both the theory and practical aspects of different obstacles.  Women will also gain knowledge and expertise on topics like bike set up, maintenance and equipment. All conducted in a safe, professional and friendly environment by friendly experienced instructors.

Women with less than 12 months MTB experience
Women with more than 12 months MTB experience

What do I need to bring
Each rider must have the following equipment whilst on the course-
  • Serviceable mountain bike
  • Australian Standards certified cycling helmet
  • Water bottle, comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes

KIDS BIKE SKILLS CLINIC

About this Clinic
This clinic is designed to improve junior bike riding skills and techniques, whilst increasing rider confidence to tackle new challenges. We cover all the fundamentals of mountain biking; including body balance, bike control, braking and corning and our clinics are tailored to provide small group tuition. We also encourage the kids to work towards achieving set to age specific skills, with all the coaching carried out in a safe and friendly environment.

These skills clinics will be conducted under the guidance of qualified and experienced instructors from Rock 'n' Roll Mountain Biking, a family run business based in Perth, headed by mountain biking enthusiast Mark Wardle.


Accommodation
There is no overnight camping available at the event site. Camping Sites are available at the Dunsborough Lakes Holiday Resort & Caravan Park. There is plenty of other quality accommodation providers in Dunsborough. The Geographe Cove Resort is very close to the Dunsborough & Districts Country Club (3min ride to start line). Both are offering special deals to Down South MTB Festival race competitors and supporters. Note: Please book early and mention that you're visiting Dunsborough for the race to enjoy the special offers!
