The 2015 festival will again be a celebration of the new mountain bike facilities, for local and intrastate riders with the generous support from the City of Busselton, corporate sponsors, volunteers, and local community.

Don't miss this excellent opportunity to compete and learn in a fun environment, no matter what skill level or age you are!
  • 3-2-1 Hour MTB Endurance race (WA XC Series - Race6) a challenging 3, 2 or 1 hour race for experienced riders and racers around the Dunsborough MTB Skills Development Park.
  • 28km MTB Pairs Relay Challenge race - an off-road mountain bike relay for team riders of all ages and skill levels. Be the first team of 2 in your category to complete 4 laps of a fun and challenging 7km course.
  • 14km Womens Only MTB Challenge - the Down South MTB Festival organisers are encouraging all women that mountain bike to come out for the Womens Only MTB Challenge. We know that there are more women out there who would like to try a race. So grab your other dirt loving friends and come out to test your skills against other women, or just come out and experience a Dunsborough mountain bike race. RACE does not have to be a four letter word. From the first timer to the seasoned professional, join us for a landmark event in the mountain bike community.
  • 2km or 4km Kids MTB Challenge - will be a specially designed courses for the under 9 and 13's, with the focus on participation rather than who's winning. Instructors will be there to give race day encouragement, ensuring everyone is prepared to safely tackle the track.
  • 50m MTB Bike Skills (Log Ride) Challenge - TEST YOUR LIMITS by riding along a 50 metre skills course of logs and wooden beams that becomes more difficult the further you progress. Junior, Senior & Open categories
  • 1km MTB Sprint (Time Trial) Challenge - is an off-road mountain bike time trial testing the speed and skill for riders of all ages and skill levels. The course is a 1km descent of purpose built dual slalom trails with berms and humps. Each participant has three attempts to complete the 1km course in the fastest possible time.
  • 16" Pump Track Challenge will be about participation, fun and entertainment rather than who's winning? The circuit will be simple and include the Pump Track with some small ramps for maximum entertainment.

  • WOMENS Only for beginner to intermediate riders, this clinic will help you conquer whatever the trail puts in your way. Skills include cornering, switchbacks, steep roll downs, wheel lifts over obstacles, line selection and more...
  • Kids MTB Bike Skills Clinics - emphasis is on basic bike riding skills with "MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION" the "Kids MTB Bike Skills Clinic" will prepare and teach local kids the skills they will need, to get started on the trails around the MTB Skills Development Park.
The festival also offers many activities in addition to competitive events and skills clinics
  • DEMO BIKE Test rides (free!) from one of the leading bike manufacturers on the planet
  • KIDS FUN LAPS! are available all day for the kids.
  • ENJOY the local brew & great food in the Country Clubs fully licensed clubrooms.

The Down South MTB festival celebrates mountain biking in the South West by bringing cycling enthusiasts together to check out, competitive and recreational mountain bike events, promoting the new Dunsborough mountain biking facilities, whilst bringing the local community together and advocating for an active outdoor lifestyle. Through its Cycle Club section the Dunsborough & Districts Country Club (a not-for-profit organisation) has raised over $45,000 to support the development and maintenance of its mountain bike trail projects in Dunsborough. So please come on down south, enjoy the fun and contribute to the bright future this mountain biking facility offers...
